Background of the Study

Warehouse management plays a crucial role in ensuring that goods are stored efficiently, picked accurately, and delivered promptly to meet customer demand. For companies like MTN Nigeria, which relies heavily on the supply of telecommunications equipment and consumer products, effective warehouse management is integral to maintaining a smooth and efficient supply chain. In Nasarawa State, where MTN Nigeria operates several distribution centers, managing warehouse operations effectively can help minimize delays, reduce operational costs, and ensure that products are delivered to customers in a timely manner.

Effective warehouse management involves strategies such as optimizing inventory control, improving storage layouts, and leveraging technology to track and manage stock. The efficiency of these practices directly influences supply chain performance, which in turn impacts customer satisfaction and company profitability. This study seeks to explore how warehouse management strategies employed by MTN Nigeria in Nasarawa State affect the overall efficiency of its supply chain, evaluating how the company’s approach to warehousing contributes to supply chain performance.
